COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Certificate of Basic EHR Proficiency (CEOP) provides an introduction to Electronic Health Records (EHRs), including access to a live certified EHR for hands-on workflow exercises. The program is designed for individual study, or for academic or clinical settings, giving students real-world experience with digital healthcare technology.

Lessons describe EHR functionality, integration with other applications and hardware, Meaningful Use and HIPAA compliance, and more. The lessons are presented through self-paced online lessons, multimedia review, and assessments, as well as a final exam.

Participants also engage in hands-on workflow exercises using a practuce EHR tool application. The hands-on EHR exercises are designed to teach students the fundamentals of EHR workflow. The EHR tool creates a working environment similar in design to most of the major certified products on the market—allowing for a flexible learning experience uniquely applicable to multiple platforms and medical workplaces.

* Demonstrate Academic EHR Workflow with a hands-on Documentation Exercise

Note for School Program Administrators: Instructors may assign students to this course as part of their curriculum programs and request a Team Leader account to oversee all student progress. Each license is available per-student for a full year. The EHR tool may also be used for classroom case-study.
